Each student has to select one enterprise of their choice and research the challenges (specifically the supply chain management challenges) the enterprise faces and come up with findings and conclusions. The project must contain research elements appropriate to the task and must present research findings and recommendations.

The student is required to write a detailed report of approximately 2,500 words documenting the research, findings and provide conclusions and analysis. The report must follow a logical structure and use appropriate headings.

Background/Introduction – rationale given for choice of enterprise with brief description of the enterprise (approximately 300 words).

Identification of challenges (approximately 300 words)
Clearly identify the challenges your enterprise faces. Primary and/or secondary research can be used to identify the challenges.

Literature Review (approximately 800 words)
Literature review seeking clarification on the challenges, possible solutions. (minimum 5-10 sources). This can be broken down as follows:
Supply Chain Management defined
Challenges facing Supply Chain Management
Challenges facing the chosen enterprise’s sector
Possible solutions

Analysis Findings (approximately 400 words)
Produce a frame work for your organisation summarising the findings of your literature review. This section can be organised in different ways e.g. the section could have headings related to the challenges identified. The key challenge here is to present the findings in a way that can be understood by an audience.

Conclusion and Recommendations (approximately 400 words)
Conclusions should be clear, specific and concise. The recommendations should follow from the conclusions. When citing recommendations and conclusions it is a good idea to identify any limitations.
