There are many out comes when it comes to the different postion’s of a baby that requires a cesarean section, as well as the current number of live births in America with the current infant mortality rate. Also the different types of medication used during childbirth and child labor.

Most position’s are when the baby is head down, facing the mother’s back. Which is called the Cephalic presentation which most babies is settled into the position within the end of their pregnancy. In other cases a Cesarean delivery can be the safest option for the parent and fetus. This requires surgery where the mother would have to be un cautious of everything that will be happening when she is asleep. Occiput or cephalic posterior is when the baby is head down but facing the the mothers tummy, increasing the pain for the delivery of the baby. . In a Frank breech the baby is position with their butt first, which will increase the injuries towards the baby if it is delivered by the vagina. There is also the complete breech, transverse lie, and footling breech.

in 2009 the number of live birth is four million one hundred thousand thirty one and nineteen thousand. The rate is 13.8 for infant mortality rate. Their is many medication that a mother can be on while giving birth or being in labor. An epidural is a way to deliver an anesthetic so that it can lessen the pain from the labor. Epidurals are effective and is a great pain reliever although it does have side affects such as low blood pressure or can cause the mother to have a fever. Oploids can be injected into the bloodstream which can calm the pain down, as well as other painkillers.

There are alot of mothers who use epidural’s while giving birth, and some mothers do not want to use it. Although there are many stages a baby can be positioned, the most important thing is for the mother and the fetus to be alive and healthy.
